Most people are not familiar with Soapstone and would not consider it as their first choice for their bathroom. Soapstone is a very durable non-porous natural stone that is resistant to stains. Untreated soapstone tends to be grayish in color, but can also have blue or green undertones. Most homeowners fall in love with gray soapstone that can be enhanced with mineral oil to darken the natural color of the stone. Regardless of color, soapstone will patina with age creating a unique countertop design.

Designer Amy Bond selected an Indian Black Soapstone for the stunning master bathroom countertops in this Preserve Parade Home built by Byrom Building. The soapstone countertops were fabricated and installed by Surface One.
