Southern Living Idea House

The architect, Bill Ingram, is an Auburn graduate with offices in Birmingham and Atlanta. Southern Living chose Bill to work on the 50th Anniversary house as the architect and as the designer for the kitchen, family room and back hall. In the kitchen, Bill selected Absolute Black Honed Granite for the perimeter and butcher-block on the island. Surface One fabricated and installed the stone countertops for the 2016 Southern Living 50th Anniversary Idea House including Absolute Black Granite kitchen countertops and Marble bathroom countertops featuring custom backsplashes.

Southern Living Idea House Location

The 2016 Southern Living Idea House is located on a wooded corner lot in the Mt. Laurel community near Double Oak Mountain. Mt Laurel is a master-planned community that values nature and community. The neighborhood features natural areas, parks, schools and a town center with shopping and restaurants – all accessible by walking paths throughout the neighborhood.
